Train with someone who trained.

You want a trainer who knows what a serious training block feels like — and knows how to bring you back to it safely, whatever age you are, whatever your body has been through.

"Your best decade is still ahead of you. My job is to make sure your body agrees."

Four years starting middle blocker at UT Austin. Eight years coaching adults back into their bodies after their college years, their kids' toddler years, or a decade behind a desk. I train real athletes — the professional kind and the you-used-to-be kind.

My work sits at the intersection of strength, mobility, and honest programming. Nothing about my sessions is Instagram-optimized. Everything is designed to keep you moving well at 40, 50, 60, and beyond. Adults 30+ are my specialty because that's when the work gets more nuanced — and the payoff is bigger.

Book the free 20-minute intro. I'll ask about your training history, your current body, and your goals — then tell you honestly whether we're a fit and what tier to start in.

The training · Four pillars

Sessions built around the whole body.

Every session integrates all four pillars. Strength drives the outcome. Movement makes the strength real. Conditioning gives you the engine. Nutrition makes it stick.

01

Strength

Barbell, dumbbell, kettlebell. Squat, hinge, press, pull, carry. The five patterns that determine how strong you are at every joint — trained on a progressive plan tuned to your age and current baseline.

02

Movement

Hip mobility, thoracic rotation, shoulder mechanics. FMS-informed corrective work built into every session — so strength lands on a body that can actually use it. Move well before you move a lot.

03

Conditioning

Aerobic base + short-effort intervals. Zone 2 for the base, sled work for the top-end. Built to raise VO2max and recovery capacity, not to smoke you into next Tuesday.

04

Nutrition

Precision Nutrition L1-certified. Protein targets, meal structure, sleep + recovery guidance. Not a diet. A framework for eating like an adult who wants energy tomorrow and progress in six months.

Results from real clients

Progress that shows up.

A composite of client outcomes across the last three years. Individual results vary — because your program will.

+42lbs
Average deadlift PR

Adults 30–55 who complete 6 months of 1-on-1 training add 40+ lbs to their deadlift, with better form than they started with.

92%
Report daily energy up

92% of clients report noticeably better daily energy within 60 days. Sleep quality, mood, and afternoon crash resolve first — before the mirror changes.

18+
Marathons + Ironmans completed

Clients have completed Boston, Chicago, and NYC marathons plus multiple Ironman finishes since 2022 — trained through strength-first programs, not sport-specific-only plans.

What clients say

Real work. real people.

"I hadn't lifted since college and was scared I'd hurt myself. Sarah met me exactly where I was and had me pulling 225 within four months. My back has never felt better."

Marcus L.42 · Austin · 6 months in

"The nutrition guidance changed more than the training did. Same effort in the gym, plus knowing what to eat — I'm the strongest I've been in 15 years."

Priya M.38 · Small Group member

"Online programming from Sarah is worth 3× what she charges. She actually watches my form videos. She actually responds. Not a form-fill trainer."

David T.51 · Denver · Virtual client
Common questions

What clients actually ask.

No. This is my specialty. We start with a movement assessment, honest baseline testing, and a program designed around what your body actually does today — not what it did in 2010. The plan gets more ambitious as your body earns it. Nobody starts here already fit.

Usually yes, and often training is what fixes it. I've worked with clients through post-surgical shoulders, chronic low-back pain, hip labrum repairs, ACL rebuilds, and more. If we need to loop in a PT or physician, I say so — and I refer to specific people I trust in Austin.

Sport-specific programming is available for Small Group + 1-on-1 tiers — usually with a strength-first foundation and event-specific conditioning layered in. Ironmans, marathons, Hyrox, spartan — all covered. Bring the race date, we work backwards.

You get a monthly custom program delivered through Trainerize. You complete workouts, log weights, upload form videos when needed. Weekly video check-in with me. It's the same programming brain — just without me in the room. Great for clients outside Austin or with irregular schedules.

1-on-1 sessions: cancel 24 hours ahead for full credit. Small Group: cancel monthly with 30 days notice. Online Programming: cancel anytime, effective next billing cycle. No games, no lock-in.

Yes — semi-private duo sessions are $130/session for two people. Small Group already handles couples nicely. Just tell me in the intake and I'll match you with the right format.
